中国证监会前副主席王建军因受贿罪被判无期徒刑

山东省濰坊市中级人民法院对中国证监会前副主席王建军的受贿案进行了一审判决。1王建军自2005年至2019年利用职务便利非法收受人民币9340万余元，法院认定其受贿数额特别巨大，造成国家和人民利益特别重大损失，依法判处其无期徒刑、剥夺政治权利终身、没收个人全部财产。1

王建军曾任证监会云南监管局副局长、证监会办公厅副主任、市场监管部主任等职务，自2021年10月起担任证监会副主席及党委委员。1法院在案件审理中考虑到其认罪悔罪并部分退赃的情节，依法从轻处罚。1

Wang Junjun, former vice chairman of China's Securities and Futures Commission (SFC), was sentenced to life imprisonment by the Weifang Intermediate People's Court in Shandong Province following conviction on bribery charges 1. Between 2005 and 2019, Wang illicitly accepted over 93.4 million yuan in bribes while leveraging his official positions 1. The court determined the amount of bribes received was exceptionally large and caused severe losses to state and public interests 1.

In addition to life imprisonment, Wang was stripped of political rights for life and all personal property was ordered confiscated 1. The court imposed a lenient sentence in consideration of his guilty plea, expression of remorse, and partial restitution of ill-gotten gains 1. Wang held multiple positions throughout his career, including deputy director of the SFC's Yunnan regulatory bureau, deputy director of the SFC office, and director of the market supervision department, before assuming his role as SFC vice chairman and party committee member beginning in October 2021 1. His violations were announced publicly in April 2025, leading to his removal from office in May and formal investigation in November 1.
