新修订的《电动自行车安全技术规范》（GB 17761—2024）将于2025年9月1日正式实施1。自2025年9月1日起，不得生产、出厂不符合新国标要求的电动自行车1。对于2025年8月31日及之前按旧标准生产的车辆，设置了3个月销售过渡期，允许销售至2025年11月30日1。2025年12月1日之后，所有销售的电动自行车产品均必须符合新标准1。
Following a CCTV exposé on July 19 of illegal production practices in Taizhou's electric bicycle industry, local market supervision and public security authorities have launched a coordinated crackdown 1. The enforcement action coincides with implementation of stricter national standards. The new Electric Bicycle Safety Technical Specification (GB 17761—2024) will take effect on September 1, 2025, after which manufacturers are prohibited from producing or delivering electric bicycles that fail to meet the updated requirements 1. Vehicles produced under the previous standard prior to August 31, 2025, will be granted a three-month sales transition period, permitting their sale until November 30, 2025 1. Starting December 1, 2025, all electric bicycles offered for sale must comply with the new standard 1. Local authorities are also developing a plan to advance high-quality development of the regional bicycle industry 1.
