The temporary waiting area addresses the significant peak-hour traffic generated by approximately 12,900 students from the Shenshang High School Campus who travel back to Shenzhen every Friday.1 The station has already seen average daily passenger traffic exceeding 3,600 arrivals and departures in 2025.1 Beyond its primary function serving students, the facility will also serve as an emergency waiting space during peak travel periods including the Spring Festival rush, statutory holidays, and severe weather conditions.1
