An Argentine court has approved the return of a portrait stolen from a Jewish art dealer during World War II, concluding a decades-long restitution effort.12 The painting, titled "Portrait of a Lady," was looted from the collection of Dutch Jewish art merchant Jacques Goudstikker after Nazi forces invaded the Netherlands in 1940.12 The work, estimated at approximately 250,000 euros (around 290,000 dollars), was discovered in August 2025 when a Dutch newspaper found it listed on a real estate website in Mar del Plata, Argentina.2
