The weather pattern is expected to shift significantly in coming days. Strong rainfall activity will largely subside by September 5th, after which precipitation will increase across northern China beginning September 6th.1 Influenced by cold air masses, temperatures across the north will decline substantially between September 6th and 9th, with drops ranging from 4 to 8 degrees Celsius in most areas, and some regions of Inner Mongolia experiencing declines exceeding 10 degrees Celsius.1 Lanzhou will see its maximum temperature fall from 31 degrees Celsius on September 7th to possibly only 17 degrees by September 8th.1 Northeastern and northwestern regions will see highs drop below 20 degrees Celsius by September 8th.1
