Lei Jun, chairman and CEO of Xiaomi, announced that the Xiaomi 18 Fold foldable smartphone will be equipped with a 6000mAh Xiaomi Jinsha River battery featuring innovative stacked-sheet technology and an energy density of 920Wh/L 1. The device will support 67W wired fast charging and 50W wireless fast charging 1.
The Xiaomi 18 Fold will be the first device to feature the newly developed Xuanxi O3 chip, which delivers multi-core benchmark scores exceeding 15,000 points and represents a 60% performance improvement 1. The phone will also debut the G2-Ultra NX GPU, which provides an 85% performance boost while reducing power consumption by 64% 1. Additionally, it will be the inaugural model to incorporate Changxin LPDDR6 memory with peak transfer rates of 12,800Mbps, available in configurations up to 16GB 1. The device will ship with HyperOS 4, with recruitment for the first batch of user testers beginning on August 13 1.
