Director Danny Boyle had to battle film financiers over casting decisions for his new movie Ink, ultimately winning the right to cast Australian actor Guy Pearce as young Rupert Murdoch against pressure to hire Hollywood star Leonardo DiCaprio instead.1 The film, which premiered at the Venice Film Festival, chronicles the media tycoon's 1969 acquisition and transformation of The Sun newspaper into Britain's largest-circulation publication.1
