18岁女孩因一堂木工课开启建筑生涯

18岁的Isabella Mavrogiannis在9年级的木工课上发现了对建筑工作的热情，这个转折点改变了她的人生轨迹1。她随后转入北艺术技术学院（NCAT）学习，通过VCE职业教育主修课程深化专业知识1。

Isabella Mavrogiannis discovered her passion for building trades during a woodworking class in Year 9, a pivotal moment that redirected her entire educational path 1. The 18-year-old subsequently enrolled at Northern Academy of Construction and Technology (NCAT) from Year 10 onwards, where she pursued vocational education through the VCE Vocational Major program 1.

During Years 11 and 12, Mavrogiannis balanced her studies with hands-on experience, attending construction sites every Wednesday starting at 3:30 a.m. for practical training 1. Upon completing her VCE qualification, she earned both a Level 2 Certificate in Building and Construction and a carpentry apprenticeship credential 1. Her exceptional performance throughout the program earned her recognition as a VCE Premier's Award recipient for Outstanding VCE Vocational Major Students 1.

Beyond her academic and professional achievements, Mavrogiannis has become an advocate for increasing female participation in the construction sector. She actively engages with the Young Women in Trades and Technology group, working to encourage more women to enter the building industry 1.
