The Australian Wildlife Conservancy has confirmed the presence of the Nabarlek, Australia's second smallest wallaby species, at two new sites in the Kimberley region, including one location where the species had not been recorded for 50 years.1 The discoveries were made through camera traps and fecal DNA analysis, providing evidence that this endangered marsupial continues to survive despite threats from feral cats and bushfires.1
