孟图神庙遗址位于埃及卢克索卡尔纳克神庙北部，总面积约10.6万平方米，年代跨越古埃及晚期至托勒密时期，即公元前7世纪至公元1世纪1。中方考古队通过多个发掘季的持续工作，取得了揭示孟图神庙多座神殿遗迹、首次发现南圣湖和北圣湖等重要成果1。其中，第七个发掘季（2024年12月—2025年4月）首次揭露南圣湖遗址，第八个发掘季（2025年11月—2026年4月）首次揭露北圣湖南侧台阶和第五、第六奥西里斯神殿遗迹1。中方队员采用近景摄影测量技术，用数万张照片拼接完成了遗址主要建筑的正射影像与总平面图1。
Chinese archaeologists have made significant progress in a joint excavation project at Egypt's Montu Temple, strengthening cultural and scholarly ties between the two nations. The Sino-Egyptian joint archaeological project at the Montu Temple site was formally established through a cooperation agreement signed in October 2018, with excavation work commencing in November 2018 1. Led by Jia Xiaobing, director of the Institute of Archaeology at the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences, the Chinese team has now completed eight excavation seasons spanning from November 2018 through April 2025 1.
The Montu Temple archaeological site, located north of the Karnak Temple in Luxor, Egypt, covers approximately 10.6 square kilometers and dates from the Late Period of ancient Egypt through the Ptolemaic era, spanning roughly from the 7th century BCE to the 1st century CE 1. During the seventh excavation season from December 2024 to April 2025, the team made a notable discovery by uncovering the South Sacred Lake for the first time 1. The eighth season, scheduled from November 2025 to April 2026, is expected to reveal the southern steps of the North Sacred Lake and remains of the fifth and sixth Osiris temples 1. The Chinese archaeological team has employed advanced close-range photogrammetry techniques, assembling tens of thousands of photographs to create orthographic imagery and comprehensive site plans of the temple's major structures 1.
