Beyond aviation, the mission targets expansion of critical mineral exports from NSW, which contain reserves valued at approximately one trillion dollars—roughly half the value of the state's coal exports. 1 Treasurer Daniel Murovel emphasized the economic opportunity, stating: "The Indian middle class is traveling, and we really do want more Indian visitors coming to Sydney." 1 This reflects the demographic significance of NSW's Indian-Australian population, which numbers around 200,000 people. 1
