McLaren Minerals has released encouraging drilling results from its flagship titanium project in the Eucla Basin of Western Australia, demonstrating improved ore grades.1 The latest sampling campaign across 74 boreholes totaling 1,199 meters yielded an average heavy mineral grade of 5.44%, up from the previous result of 4.96%.1 The average thickness of mineralized zones reached 16.2 meters.1
The expanded drilling program is designed to upgrade additional resources to the higher-confidence indicated resource category in preparation for a feasibility study.1 The project currently holds a resource base of 529 million tonnes grading 4.5% heavy minerals, containing 23.7 million tonnes of primary heavy minerals in total.1 Within this resource, 249 million tonnes are classified as indicated resources and 280 million tonnes as inferred resources.1 To date, 6,671 analytical results and 11,568 meters of drilling data have been generated, representing 58% of the planned total sampling program.1
The drilling results show consistent mineralization across the deposit, with 89% of boreholes (66 of 74) averaging at least 4% heavy minerals, while 62% averaged at least 5% and 32% reached or exceeded 6%.1 Additionally, 73% of boreholes (54 of 74) returned at least 15 meters of continuously sampled mineralized intervals.1 Individual sections demonstrated particularly strong grades, including zones with 7.61%, 8.06%, and 7.55% heavy mineral content.1 Managing director Simon Finnis stated that receiving a 5.44% heavy mineral average grade and 16.2-meter average thickness from the 2026 drilling program represented "an absolutely outstanding outcome."1
