制片人苏逸琰的创作初心始于一个放弃。2021年，她来到新疆莎车县特殊教育学校，原计划拍摄一部关于盲人足球的故事片，选定了13名视障孩子作为主角。但因经费不足，项目在2022年被迫停拍1。面对孩子们提出的"如果电影不拍了，我们还可以继续踢球吗"这样的问题，苏逸琰做出了职业生涯的重大转变——她辞去了影视公司总经理职务，改而拍摄纪录片《喂喂喂，足球队》1。
这部纪录片耗时5年完成，投入300多万元记录这13个孩子的足球成长故事1。大部分资金由苏逸琰和导演李志伟自费垫资，他们甚至一度赊欠了11万元的盲人足球场设备，直到近三年后才还清1。纪录片在2024年成为新疆维吾尔自治区文艺扶持激励资金项目，2025年被列为上海市文化润疆项目1。
纪录片于2026年7月底登上大荧幕，完成了50多场点映，票房突破6万多元1。影片记录的孩子们在足球道路上取得了显著成绩：在2024年全国盲人足球锦标赛中，比拉力一人进了5个球，随后入选了国家盲人足球队集训名单1。莎车县特殊教育学校在2025年申请到了高中资质1，新疆由此成立了首支盲人足球队1。

The production team purchased blind football equipment worth 110,000 yuan on credit, taking nearly three years to repay the debt 1. The documentary premiered in late July 2026 at cinemas across China, with over fifty screenings generating more than 60,000 yuan in box office revenue 1. Among the young athletes featured, Bi Lali, a player with complete blindness caused by glaucoma, scored five goals at the 2024 National Blind Football Championship 1 and was subsequently selected for the national blind football team training roster 1. The school obtained senior high school accreditation in 2025, and Xinjiang established its first blind football team 1. The documentary was recognized as a Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region Cultural Support and Incentive Fund project in 2024 and was designated as a Shanghai Cultural Xinjiang initiative in 2025 1.
