马来西亚启动首阶段自愿遣返计划 将遣返千余名缅甸国民

马来西亚内政部宣布，将于下月启动自愿遣返计划第一阶段，遣返1476名缅甸国民1。该计划共分阶段遣返5000名符合条件的缅甸人1。首批人员将于9月29日由缅甸海军的两艘军舰和一艘医院船遣返1。

截至8月15日，共有10388名缅甸国民被关押在马来西亚全国移民拘留所1。马来西亚超过95%的难民来自缅甸1。截至2月底，联合国难民署登记了约215600名难民和寻求庇护者，其中90%来自缅甸1。马来西亚推出难民登记文件制度，取代联合国难民署管理系统，以直接管理难民和寻求庇护者的登记与生物信息1。

Malaysia's Ministry of Home Affairs has announced the launch of the first phase of a voluntary repatriation program next month, which will see the return of 1,476 Myanmar nationals 1. This broader initiative is set to repatriate a total of 5,000 eligible Myanmar nationals in phases 1. The first group is scheduled to be sent back on September 29, transported by two warships and a hospital ship from the Myanmar Navy 1.

As of August 15, 10,388 Myanmar nationals were held in immigration detention centers nationwide 1. Over 95% of refugees in Malaysia are from Myanmar 1. As of the end of February, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees had registered approximately 215,600 refugees and asylum seekers, 90% of whom were from Myanmar 1.

Malaysia has also introduced a new refugee registration documentation system to replace the previous system managed by the UNHCR 1. The new system allows the government to directly manage the registration and biometric data of refugees and asylum seekers 1.
