The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection and the National Supervisory Commission conducted an investigation into Yang Hongyong, who also served as a national supervisory commissioner stationed at Harbin Electric Group. [1] The inquiry revealed that Yang abandoned his ideals and convictions, abused his authority for personal gain, violated the central eight-point regulation on improving conduct, disregarded organizational principles, compromised integrity standards, and violated discipline enforcement rules. Among the misconduct documented, Yang violated the central regulation by improperly accepting banquets and travel arrangements funded by public money. [1] He unlawfully received gifts and monetary presents, engaged in business ventures in violation of regulations, and leveraged his position to provide improper assistance to others in project contracting and career advancement in exchange for substantial illegal payments. [1] His violations encompassed breaches of the Party's political discipline, organizational discipline, clean governance discipline, and work discipline. [1] These infractions persisted after the Party's Eighteenth National Congress. [1]
The Central Commission for Discipline Inspection has decided to expel Yang Hongyong from the Party, revoke his benefits, confiscate illicit gains, and transfer his suspected criminal conduct to the procuratorate for legal investigation and prosecution. [1]
