Three baseball legends were formally enshrined in the Baseball Hall of Fame during a ceremony held Sunday in Cooperstown, New York.[1] Carlos Beltrán secured induction with 84.2% of the vote on his fourth attempt, while Andrew Jones cleared the 75% threshold with 78.4% of the voting support in his ninth year of eligibility.[1] Jeff Kent was elected by the Contemporary Baseball Era Committee after his eligibility period with the Baseball Writers' Association ended in 2023.[1]
The induction ceremony drew approximately 12,000 fans and 57 current Hall of Fame members to Cooperstown, marking the largest gathering of Hall of Famers in the institution's history.[1] Jones made history as the first Hall of Fame player from Curaçao.[1] Kent played 17 seasons professionally and was the 2000 National League MVP, holding the record for home runs by a second baseman.[1] Beltrán was the 1999 American League Rookie of the Year.[1] Jones accumulated 10 Gold Glove Awards and five All-Star selections during his career.[1]
