The Women's Africa Cup of Nations (WAFCON) will take place from July 26 to August 16, 2026, in the Moroccan cities of Rabat and Casablanca.[1] This will mark Morocco's third consecutive hosting of the tournament.[1] The event was originally scheduled for March but was postponed to after the men's FIFA World Cup following Morocco's request.[1]
The tournament will feature 16 participating teams, an expansion from the originally planned 12.[1] The opening matches are set for July 26, with Algeria facing Senegal in one fixture and Morocco taking on Kenya later that day.[1] The final will be held in Rabat on August 16.[1]
