9月25日中秋节，全国铁路预计发送旅客2234万人次，为应对假日客流高峰，计划加开旅客列车1218列1。截至9月25日8时，铁路12306已累计发售中秋国庆假期（9月23日至10月8日）期间火车票1.32亿张1。

各地铁路部门强化运力投放。上海局加开旅客列车242列，安排动车组列车重联运行309列1；郑州局加开旅客列车132列，其中夜间高铁51列1；西安局加开旅客列车145列，其中动车组列车119列1。出行客流主要集中在北京、广州、上海、深圳、杭州、成都、郑州、南京、武汉、西安等城市之间1。
